Why I built Confluity

Re: Confluity is now open in beta: Test a new web-based project delivery tool, details below.

how to use confluity on your projects

More than ten years ago, I joined a conversation with a NASA cost estimator that changed how I thought about projects.

He told us about the root causes for success, tooted in human behavioural science. For example:

  • Optimism bias.
  • How projects rarely look to past examples.
  • How decisions makers too often commit too early.

The problem I wanted to solve

Over time, I became interested in a similar problem.

A lot of the knowledge that helps projects succeed already exists. But it is often hard to access, hard to apply, or wrapped in language that makes it feel more complicated than it needs to be.

I learned that experienced people build the ability to make judgement decisions quickly. The technical word for these are heuristics.

With Confluity, I have identified the core simple rules drawn interviews with into 2,950 project experts. Then, I developed 35 tools and provided over 50 templates you can use.

My aim is to make it much easier to deliver highly successful projects.

This week action

Confluity is now open in beta.

If you have a project, change, or piece of work and want to answer this question "what should your project do next", I would really value your help.

Use Confluity and please, give me feedback.

You can start with a free account, use Confluity on one real project, and tell me what was useful, unclear, or missing.

If you are willing to test it properly and give me feedback, then click the link below, you'll get access to a temporary free Pro account

After clicking the button, check your email. Or reply to this email and I’ll send you the details.

Confluity is live, I hope you find it as useful as I have.

Keep striving for project success, and enjoyment.
